Typically, when someone sees a camera they either smile or run away, it's instinct. Brides are no different. But when you make a Bride stand in “the corner” and ask her to cover her smile with the veil, which is what it's for anyway, the smile just translates to her eyes and you get this kind of beauty. Some locations have a “dark side”, not like Jedi dark side, or anything dramatic at all really, just a place that has quality light, but just not super bright and happy light. I just change up the mood of the photo in these places. Then I move to the opposite side of this wall where there’s a fireplace and huge windows, for the antithesis of the dark shots.
